I don’t know when it was officially released but last night I downloaded the Left4Dead 2 demo and I was shocked by three things:How nice and crisp the graphics are this time around. It’s seriously a big step up from the last game. Graphic whores this one is for you.
How likeable the new survivors actually are. When this game was announced I was kind of bummed we wouldn’t be getting a second go around with the original survivors. I was hoping maybe we’d get fleshed out back stories but after watching the intro movie I was like, Louis who ?
How um.. Not dark the atmosphere is, at least in this first campaign. I remember the original game always being dark and I always wondered why are these guys are constantly venturing out at night. Wouldn’t it be easier to see the infected coming if you waited until there was some daylight? -Despite Valve addressing this, I’m not sure how I feel. It kind of took the eeriness away from the game, to be fair I didn’t get very far before quitting to go to sleep..maybe it gets darker.
