If GameFly wants you back, make them Work For it !

I received a letter from GameFly. If you don't know, you better ask soooome bod-ay !.. Sorry, If you don't know what Game fly is, it's Netflix but with videogames. But it's not that simple, it's a lot slower, a lot more expensive and harder to justify. I never felt like I was really saving any money, even when I’d opt to buy a game I rented, because while they sold me the game at a reduced priced, I wound up paying more because my subscription was running me almost 24.95 to rent two games at a time, because renting one game isn’t enough due to the slow rate at which the games are shipped and received. It's not their fault, they only have 4 shipping centers and I think when I had them they had 2.

Um... NO.

Technically on the $15.95 a month plan, that’s one rental at a time, you can get one game a week, that’s 4 games a month, which is a great deal except no one plays one game for a week. Your better off signing up at a video store and getting one of those gamer packages because the wait time between games is much lower and at some places the prices are competitive or better than what Game Fly offers.

Also Game Fly thinks I’m stupid. Read the letter they sent me:

1 dollar off to come back ?
REALLY ? 1 dollar is supposed to entice me ? And calling it "over 30% is supposed to trick me?" At least offer me back my Game Fly points I lost when I quit or give me the introductory rate of $8.95. Here's an idea, fire your customer retention department now and stop insulting my intelligence.

BTW: I'm prepping a pretty decent guide for Black Friday for you guys so the volume of posts might be down this week.
