Hulu Charging in 2010

I'm sure you've heard the news, Hulu wants to start charging. Me thinks they forgot what happened when Napster did this. People aren't going to start paying for something they can get or used to get for free. If people wanted to pay they'd download the shows off the iTunes store or Amazon. It also doesn't help many of the networks already offer the same shows for free on the network websites. Here's a quote from News Corp. Deputy Chairman Chase Carey regarding the matter:
"I think a free model is a very difficult way to capture the value of our content. I think what we need to do is deliver that content to consumers in a way where they will appreciate the value."
Appreciate the value of content ? Hulu gets more praise on the internet than Buddha! This why I hate marketing speak. You and I both know, THIS IS BULL CRAP. Just say you want more money. Talk like this actually makes people want to go find a torrent and download your shows out of spite.

Making Hulu a pay site is only going to drive up piracy rates and place Hulu into the box of websites that no one visits anymore.
